Shit nigga, I be using a small diaphragm cardiod condenser mic, charecteristic for it's high-frequency response and ability to precisely reproduce the soundwaves pushed into said small diaphragm. Such mic types do range greatly in price, though my model was roughly $700.00. Such mic types compliment acoustic guitars, string instruments, cymbals, and vocals, da final being da usage most frequently employed by da world famous XANGSTA clan.
Da "cardiod" represents a mic pattern, tho, not so much a mic "type." If you are'nt familiar with dis shape, it looks something like a heart, wif a more rounded out bottom. Dis pattern represents da area where da mic is finna pick up sound (some otha patterns being Omni, Figure Eight, Hyper or Super-cardiod). Wif a cardiod pattern da mic is finna best pick up sound in front of da diaphragm, a lil on da sides of it, and very lil around back of it.
